This year’s theme, Affordability and the Performing Arts, brings us together to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping our field. From navigating economic pressures on live performance and ticket sales to fighting ticket fraud, cultivating future audiences, and strengthening development efforts, our sessions will offer practical insights and meaningful conversation.
Of course, the ConsERT Summer Retreat is about more than learning—it's about community. Reconnect with colleagues, make new friends, and spend time with the people who understand the unique rewards and challenges of our profession. Meet agents in Agent Alley, sing your heart out at the inaugural KonsERT Karaoke, gather around the fire for s’mores, and share a few laughs (or groans) during our always-entertaining Shows We'd Like to Forget storytelling session.
AGENT ALLEY
Get to know ConsERT's agent & artist members! Monday afternoon will feature Agent Alley, an opportunity for booking personnel to interact one-on-one with our agent and artist members. This session proved very popular at last year's retreat with presenters and agents alike. See what our agents have to offer, and perhaps fill in a hole or two in your upcoming season!
PRE-RETREAT (Aug 9)
Come early for our Sunday pre-retreat gathering and enjoy dinner, swimming, biking, and casual conversation before the program officially begins! This option includes accommodations, dinner and breakfast the following morning. This informal event is a member favorite, providing an opportunity to catch up, take advantage of the hotel amenities, and join friends new and old at the C Bar for a drink or snack.
As our guests arrive along a winding, tree-lined drive, they discover a quiet retreat from Central New Jersey’s busy pace. Yet Chauncey is conveniently located midway between New York City and Philadelphia and a short drive to the Princeton University, Rider University, The College of New Jersey, cultural attractions and shopping.
